BIVIO NETWORKS TAPS 25-YEAR NETWORKING INDUSTRY VETERAN TO HEAD WORLDWIDE FIELD OPERATIONS
Andy Lovit to Join Management Team of Deep Packet Inspection Technology Leader
Pleasanton, Calif., September 22, 2008 — Bivio Networks, Inc., a leader in networking systems for deep packet inspection (DPI)-enabled applications and services essential for network security, visibility, control and monetization, today announced it has appointed Andy Lovit as its vice president of worldwide field operations. Lovit will lead Bivio Networks global sales and field operations efforts as the company continues its rapid expansion in the deployment of DPI appliances for network equipment manufacturers, independent software vendors, government agencies, and service providers.

Bivio’s network appliance platforms combine the industry’s most powerful deep packet inspection capabilities with a scalable architecture and Linux-based software platform. Lovit brings 25 years of sales leadership experience to the company and was most recently vice president, worldwide sales for AirTight Networks. Lovit was formerly senior vice president, service provider sales for TANDBERG Television, which was acquired by the Ericsson Group. Prior to TANDBERG Television, Lovit was vice president, worldwide sales and field operations for SkyStream Networks where he successfully grew the company’s revenue and customer base, resulting in its acquisition by TANDBERG Television. Lovit also served in key sales leadership roles for Onetta, MAYAN Networks, 3Com as well as Paradyne Corporation, where he was instrumental in taking the company through its initial public offering.
